The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Cruz is lookingfor a Postdoc in the area of Information theory and security. The candidate will work with UCSC Professor Hamid Sadjadpour. The appointment will be for a period of 12 months, renewable by mutual agreementfor another year. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have
PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields from a reputableuniversity,
Strong publication record,
Background in information theory, security, encryption techniques, and strong mathematicalbackground,
Strong written and oral communication skills,
In addition to the above qualifications, it is highly desirable that the candidate has
Prior research experience in security,
Familiarity with provable secure cryptosystem techniques.
