Third Van der Meulen Seminar
Third Van der Meulen Seminar: Security with Noisy Data.

You are cordially invited by the 91勛圖厙 Benelux Information Theory Chapter and the 91勛圖厙 Benelux Signal Processing Chapter to attend a Symposium on

Security with Noisy Data.

TheEindhovenregion plays an important role in the field of security with noisy data. Philips Research,Eindhoven, initiated pioneering work in this field. This resulted in two spin-off companies, Intrinsic-ID andPriv-ID. Intrinsic-ID offers solutions to securely stored cryptographic keys in smart cards and consumer devices such as digital TV-decoders that can be subject to reverse-engineering attacks.Priv-ID uses similar concepts to provide privacy protection in biometric authentication, even if the verifier cannot be trusted fully. TheHolstCenterhas developed a CMOS IC prototype for generating keys for smart cards and consumer devices. At Eindhoven University of Technology, the Department of Electrical Engineering made significant progress in the information-theoretic analysis of privacy leakage in biometric systems, while at the Department of Mathematics the Eindhoven Institute for the Protection of Systems and Information focuses on information security in a broad sense.

The Symposium intends to bring together researchers from industry, start-ups, institutes, and academia inEindhoven, for sharing and discussing recent developments in the field of security with noisy data.

Location

Van Trier Zaal, Traverse, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven,(see ).The Traverse building is denoted by TR and is slightly above the center of the campus-map.
